An artist and professor at the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Ljubljana. 

 

Marina Gržinić and Aina Šmid have been working together producing video since 1982. Previously they belonged to the alternative/underground music scene in the former Yugoslavia, where they combined performance art and punk culture. The artists’ shared output includes more than 40 video art projects, video installations, films, documentaries, TV programs and new media installations. The artists have presented their work at more than 100 video festivals and new media exhibitions around the world. They have received numerous prestigious awards and honours for their artistic achievements.
