This project was a kind of staged drama in which people who were strangers to each other took part in arranged, seemingly clear situations taken from the domain of family life. Daily life events, isolated from their context, transposed universal human oppressions and thus acquired new meanings. Behavioural patterns in the relations wife–husband or father–son revealed concealed, pulsating emotions, among which tolerance and acceptance were rather rare. The artist’s intention was to record those usually unnoticed changes taking place before our very eyes and with our participation within this subtle network of dependence that the family is.
