The exhibition of artists from the Baltic Sea region, organised within the Biennale Balticum in Rauma, Finland in 1998 and transferred to Gdańsk from there. It included
the often very private and subjective answers artists gave to the question in the exhibition’s title. The presented works tackled the notions connected with national and religious identity and illustrated their relation to national and social roots and the reaction to the latest history of their region and the resulting phenomena.
