Michael Thieke and Kai Fagaschinski build a DIY chamber music unit, working collectively on their own compositions. Through the delicate use of multiphonics, beat frequencies and difference tones they developed a unique duo style. Even though the music is played and presented purely acoustically, it has a strong association with electronic music. The two clarinets act less as a dialogic twin, but more as a stereophonic multilayered sound sculpture. The music has an emphasis for the very fragile dynamics, though the compositions make sure to shape very clear and precise forms within those areas. 

The duo has played all over Europe and toured North America. They‘ve presented their music at festivals like Donaueschinger Musiktage (2007), Konfrontationen (Nickelsdorf 2008), Experimental Intermedia (New York 2009), Maerzmusik (Berlin 2009), Serrales em Festo (Porto 2010), Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik (Darmstadt 2012), and Météo Festival (Mulhouse 2012).
