Moderator: Michal Rataj
Michal Rataj will moderate a workshop, which focuses on the following issues: sound analysis and re-synthesis, space decomposition of sound and sound control through a tablet. During the workshop he will present the participants sound analysis applications and tools for interpreting data for composition. At the end of the workshop he will play a concert together with the participants.

Michal Rataj – Czech sound artist, musician. He studied musicology at the Charles University in Prague and composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he earned his Ph.D. in 2005. Since 2006 he is assistant professor and runs electroacoustic music theory and composition classes. Michal Rataj also works as radio art producer at the Czech Radio, where he curates the program slot Radioatelier and the website rAdioCUSTICA for contemporary radioart activities.
