CARLOS GIFFONI
A Venezuelan artist, who resides in the New York City area. He is a central point in the experimental music scene in the USA, in New York City in particular, not only for his own music, but his work as a curator. He has a large body of work, much of it made in collaboration with other artists. It involves various types of synthesis, extreme modular manipulation, rewired instruments, improvisation and live re-sampling. He is the curator of the renowned and influential No Fun Fest in New York, and he also founded the label No Fun Productions and Not No Fun. At Unsound Festival 2010, Carlos will not only perform, he will also curate a No Fun-related event on 23.10.2010.

UNSOUND FESTIVAL IN KRAKOW
Unsound is Poland’s premier festival for advanced music, with its focus especially on commissioned projects and artists making their national debut, as well as rising stars. As throughout its history, Unsound’s mission remains to open minds and ears to the very latest sounds. Unsound’s 2010 theme is “Horror – the pleasure of fear and unease”.
Unsound is produced by Fundacja Tone, a Krakow not-for-profit organization.
Unsound Krakow 2010 is organized within the framework of Norwegian Financial Mechanism, in partnership with Insomnia Festival in Tromso and Reykjavik Round-Up.
