The Polish School of Animation project consists of a series of meetings discussing the broad sense of the term, animation art. Reviews, meetings with filmmakers and Animate Gdańsk workshops will take place as part of the event. Creators representing a variety of different animation schools and studios are invited to each edition. The artists not only present their own work, but also become involved in leading workshops. Workshop participants are able to make their own animated films thanks to professional equipment (computers, tablets, digital time-lapse cameras, among others), programs (including Animator HD, Toon Boom Hormony and Animate) and the support and experience of those leading the workshop.

 

Meetings schedule:

28.09 – 29.09.2013, 11 am – 5 pm Animate Gdańsk workshop with GS Animation

28.09.2013, 6 pm – Meeting with Marek Kuczyński, a composer and producer of film scores followed by a review of animated films featuring the artist’s music (including Bajki i baśnie polskie [Polish Tales and Fairytales], W odmętach kosmosu, czyli gdzie jest księżyc [In the Maelstroms of Outer Space, or Where is the Moon] and Historia Bramy Wyżynnej [The History of the High Gate]).
