The lecture will give an overview on temporary initiatives and permanent institutions which focus on light as material, media and/or phenomena developed their profiles and quality parameters. Examples are taken from about 30 different festivals and museums, mainly from Europe.
Bettina Pelz is a curator of I GLOW Eindhoven I International Forum of Light in Art and Architecture, LichtRouten Luedenscheid/International Forum of Light in Art and Design, LICHTUNGEN Südwestfalen /Lighting for Cultural Landscapes and a lecturer of Professional Practice in the Arts at University of the Arts Bremen, Contemporary Curatorial Practice at University of Hildesheim, Project management in the Arts at Carl von Ossietzky-University Oldenburg and Mediation of the Arts at University of Applied Sciences Niederrhein.
