Karolina Breguła will present the “Art Translation Agency” and the “Art Lover”  two works which are both based on the question of how modern art is received. Modern art has become known as difficult and incomprehensible to the average audience. By means of her projects, the artist tries to minimize the boundary between the work of art and its audience and she postulates free interpretation. “Art Translation Agency” is an online agency consisting of a group of critics who offer their services in interpretation of works of art. In the Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art it will take the form of a meeting with interpreters simultaneously translating the chosen works, as well as a live broadcast from the exhibition.
The “Art Lover” light-box was presented for the first time in 2010 during the Open City Festival of Art in Public Spaces.
