Apart from a history, a tradition or typical architecture, a city can be also described by its scent. I decided to change scents of six places. Usual smells will be exchanged on artificial, sourceless one, often contrary to the place which will pervade with the original one. Apart from prepared viewers, the one who would not know about the purposefulness of the swap will appear in the installation space – the regular users of the places. The subconscious of those who will be there for the first time, will connect the artificial scent as the original one. Art, although it is presumed to create fiction, will permeate to the reality and the border of both will blur. Despite of the strong connection with the body, scent can be associated with the spirituality because of its elusiveness and immateriality. The scent of the city is its spirit.
