LAZNIA 1 2009 - Łukasz Misiewicz, CAN’T STOP THE VIOLENCE I LOVE IT. PAINTING
24.04 – 31.05.2009
Opening 24.04.2009, at 5.30 p.m.
Łukasz Misiewicz is an artist, who consequently and with determination is heading towards brutalization and even fury in ways of artistic expression used in his own painting language. An artist doesn’t escape in an anecdote, brachylogy, he is telling breathless stories, where the signposts can be: violence, love, religion, transgression and radical individualism. From one hand, aggression and belligerence of his paintings is a proof that in spite of many proclamations that paining is dead, the medium is still a vital tool. From the other hand, shows adequacy of the medium to express most basic truths about human nature.
