The Outdoor Gallery of the City of Gdańsk is a long-term international project, which aims at creating a collection of durable works of art in the city. It constitutes a serious step towards the change of the character of the Lower Town district, where the Laznia CCA is located. The institution, cooperating as a part of a long-term revitalizing plan, supports the process of social and architectural transformation of this run-down district. The works of art are chosen by the international jury during regular closed competitions. During the current 4th edition of the Competition of Space was the crossing of the streets Kamienna Grobla, Dobra and Toruńska (including the area of the bridge and concrete river embankment). The works of the artists invited to take part were judged by an international jury represented by: Adam Budak, Jadwiga Charzyńska, Jacek Dominiczak, Julia Draganovic, Enrico Lunghi, Bettina Steinbrügge and Norbert Weber. During the after-competition exhibition the works of the winners will be shown: Bert Theis, Thorsten Goldberg, Weronika Kiersztejn and Michał Kozik, and also scale models by Alexandre Arrechea, Sabina Lang & Daniel Baumann, Marcus Miessen and Olaf Nicolai. During the opening the awarding of the competition winners will take place.
