SqrtSigil – the solo project of Maciek Jaciuk of 30 kilo słońca, Ak Uki, mothertape, and one of the founders of Plaża Zachodnia label. SqrtSigil debuted in 2014 releasing two Eps on Lethal Dose Recordings. They were critically acclaimed and led to the collaboration with Canadian label D.M.T. Records. A year later the first full-length album ” PostDog” was released and in 2017 the tape on Plaża Zachodnia entitled ”Licho,” which shows the present sonic direction for SqrtSigil.
Noisy, full of pops and glitches, experimental post-techno was substituted with unreal and hypnotic ambient where field recordings full of silent conversations, sighs and whispers play the crucial role. They are drowned in fuzzy sonic textures full of unidentified microsounds, patterns, hums and rustles with pulsing dub structures and bits of beats appearing every now and then.

As the artist claims it is a ”bedroom project” to calm his nerves after days of noise and chaos, he performs live very rarely.
