LAZNIA Centre for Contemporary Art together with Apollonia – European Art Exchanges from Strasbourg and City of Strasbourg, would like to announce a call for artists for 3-moth residency in Strasbourg, between October – December 2018.

The theme of this residency is an analysis of the city and its different forms of transformation. The artists will be asked to present a project connected to the public space and/or participatory art. The recruitment will be in form of a competition. In Strasbourg, the artist may also be asked to lead a week-long workshop for local community.

Pre-selected by the jury in LAZNIA CCA candidates will be qualified to the next stage, when the final choice will be made by the jury in Strasbourg.

City of Strasbourg will provide the selected artist:

• accommodation and studio in Strasbourg.

LAZNIA CCA will provide the selected artist:

• a grant in the amount of 4,000.00 PLN net per month - including maintenance costs and materials necessary for project implementation

PLEASE NOTE: the travel from Poland to Strasbourg and back, as well as the transport of artistic works is paid by artist.

Conditions of participation:

1/ Age over 25 years old
2/ Knowledge of English, French or German on a communicative level
3/ Sending an application to: rezydencje@laznia.pl till 23.04.2018 (e-mails titled: “Strasburg 2018”)

PLEASE NOTE: there are no limitations towards discipline/media etc.

An application should include:

- a letter of motivation;

- CV;

- portfolio;

- an outline of a planned project for the residency.

First application can be submitted in Polish. Next, selected artists, will be asked to send the documents in English or French for the jury in Strasbourg.
