The title of the exhibition was borrowed from “Characterological Transformation – The Hard Work Miracle”, a book by American therapist Johnson Stephen. The exposition elaborates in detail on issues which had already been broached in a form of exhibition in March 2015 in Żak Gallery in Gdańsk.

During a presentation in CEA Łaźnia, the artist will focus on issues regarding the creative process, particularly changes that occurred in her own art. Her art form is evolving from material solidity of a wall through documentation of the creation process to other media: photographs and paintings. The change comes with tough, everyday work, by no means spectacular, barely visible. It can only be noticed through scarcely discernible marks.

Iwona Zając, through her productions presented at CCA Łaźnia, engages in a conversation with Ann Mendieta, American artist of Cuban descent in search of her roots who creates a peculiar language based on relationship between nature and a human.
