René Margraff (born in 1975) lives and works in Berlin. He is known for his guitar project pillowdiver ("sleeping pills", 12k) but also plays under his real name, using digital and analog sound devices, such as a sampler, modular synthesis and effect pedals.

"Digital in Berlin" describes his music like this: "You never know where the sounds originally come from as René likes getting lost in the sample by turning it upside down with a variety of tools. The source for the monochromatic drone and noise might have been by Karen Dalton, the melancholic pad sounds might have been by Slayer before."
