LAZNIA 1 2011 - ŚCIANKA SOLO concert
as part of the International Night of the Museums 14.05.2011, at 09:00p.m

Due to the dislocation of the members of the group who live now in three different cities (Sopot, Warszawa and Wrocław), Maciej Cieślak now does more solo work with the electric guitar and his voice. As a result, he creates songs that could be played together with Arkadiusz K. and Michał B., but not necessarily. Heavy music without bass and drums? Why not. We receive a greater concentration, a more direct transfer, and we touch the very essence of the musical piece. This is a finite, self-sufficient formula that had already been tested during a few concerts with a great result. ŚCIANKA SOLO will soon have their album released by the independent record label, My Shit In Your Coffee.

The main aim of the Outdoor Gallery of the City of Gdańsk project is to change the character of the Dolne Miasto district by creating a unique collection of art in the public space. As part of the project, Łaźnia Centre for Contemporary Art also plans a series of artistic events to take place in the district, i.e. concerts, performances and workshops. The Ścianka Solo concert, located in the space of Dolne Miasto during the Night of the Museums, is a great example of actions to liven up this district.
