Computer digital techniques – nowadays also used in an art world – have influenced the contemporary cinema. They have not only changed the traditional forms but also offered the totally new ways of expression. All the aspects of the artistic world, the shape of the already existing works, the means of their distribution and relation between them and the public have been transformed. Digital era cinema, digital cameras and projectors, picture synthesizers, interactive interfaces and You Tube, cinema of a technological era and cultural convergence – they all offer many new things which were previously founded in cyberpunk literature and now become part of our reality. The lecture invites us to take a close look at the contemporary forms of cinema and discuss its current and future possibilities.
